Are there any good rebounders in the NBA?

when i watch NBA games it seems like so many of the "good" rebounds get a lot of rebounds that are uncontested where no one is going for the offensive rebound. those rebounds anyone can get. i also see a lot of "good" rebounders give up offensive rebounds when the other team finally decides to try. i rarely see anyone box out. why is this and why doesn't anyone take advantage of this and use their athleticism to get more offensive rebounds? in high school andcollegebasketball boxing out is stressed and if you don't box out you are usually called out and told to box out. why doesn't anyone box out in the NBA and why doesn't anyone take advantage of people not boxing out. also, next time your watching and NBA game, keep this in mind and look for the things i'm saying (uncontested rebounds, few offensive rebound attemtps and no boxing out)

I see the other answers and agree with them for the most part... but I'm going to throw out a bit of an unknown one.

Reggie Evans from the 76ers. He's a nightmare on offense and could be better defensively... but if he played 30 minutes a night he would probably come close to averaging 20 rebounds a game... problem is his lack of skills won't allow him to play more than 15-20 a game... but he is a beast on the boards and much credit must go to Marion because he does it as a slasher and is a smaller, quicker guy but very good at boxing out

Jason Kidd is the nets leading rebounder. he had 18 the other night.
I'd say Yao Ming Andrew Bynum and Dwight Howard

It's fun to see when those guys go up high for a rebound.

The rookie Al Horford is also a good rebounder, considering he's just a freshman in the league. He knows how to use his muscles to box out anyone in his way. He leads all rookies in rebounding and averages double digits in rebounds. Good job for a rook.
Kevin Garnett is a great rebounder. He's won the Nba rebounding title the last few years. If u watch him play he sometimes tips the ball around before getting ahold if it. Camby,Chandler,Howard are also great rebounders.

Nobody though makes rebounding fun like Dennis Rodman use to. I miss the worm...he was the best ever!
